American/English Battle scene. late 18th century. Oil on Canvas. We think this is Richmond Virginia. A good historical oil painting signed and dated although we are unable to name the artist.
Condition. Good for its age. Some wear through paint, it has a bit more contrast than this image would suggest. No tears or repairs. Unframed. This painting would be better kept under glass. A very rare and finely painted historical early American naval battle scene.
