SOLD 18thcent Mahogany longcase clock (Samuel Bentley)

A mahogany longcase clock with blind fretwork decorations, the brass dial with later added arch, with silvered chapter ring & calendar dial above subsidiary seconds dial, the dial engraved with a scene of a three-masted sailing ship near a coast, ‘Samuel Bentley / Kingsbridge’, the two-train movement striking on a bell with unusual pull cord repeat, case & dial/movement associated, 89.5ins.
