Dated 1967 with “D’OYLY JOHN” on the back of the panel. A colour reproduction of this date and name stuck to the back of the frame by the framer.

The size including the frame is 48 cm wide and 38.7 cm high

About the artist: Highly collected Cecil Rochfort D’Oyly John was a South African-born British painter best known for his brightly coloured impressionist, stylised depictions of landscapes from all around South France Cote de Azure. And Italy. He used the palette knife to great effect in his works. He was somewhat colour blind which makes his use of colours and contrasts all D’oyly John.
