SOLD GVR HIGHLAND LIGHT INFANTRY OFFICER’S BASKET HILT SWORD

A CLEAN GVR HIGHLAND LIGHT INFANTRY OFFICER’S BASKET HILT SWORD, 82cm fullered blade by Wilkinson, serial no. 47261, etched with scrolling thistle sprays, crowned HIGHLAND LIGHT INFANTRY and crowned GVR cypher, regulation plated basket hilt composed of flattened rounded bars united by heart-pierced junction plates, wire bound fishskin grip, contained in its field service scabbard, complete with conventional crossguard.
